This leads me to my main question: is there a way to add a realtime global delay to a microphone (with software) so that it gets delayed no matter what application is using it? I'm on windows 10. However, my meetings take place in Adobe Connect and I don't know if there are options for audio delay within Connect, and I can only log into the meeting the day of, so I can't test things ahead of time. If I were recording or streaming with OBS or something similar, then this would not be an issue as OBS gives options to add a delay to the mic.
The problem is, the capture card adds about 500ms of delay to the video, so the audio from my external mic and the video from the capture card are out of sync by a noticeable amount. I don't have an actual webcam, so I'm trying get my DSLR with a capture card to work.
I do all my work at my desktop and I was recently asked to present at a meeting with a webcam.
